Setup → Coefficients. This is the base markup; it is always in the program and needs no plugins.
How it is calculated
The supplier price is multiplied by the coefficient. A coefficient of 1.3 is plus 30 per cent, 2 is double. With no coefficients, prices reach the store unchanged.
Ranges
A row is three values: “Price from”, “To” and “Coefficient”. A range includes the lower bound and excludes the upper one: a row “from 0 to 100” applies to a price of 0 and does not apply to 100.
That is how you get a different markup on cheap and expensive goods: a percentage on a small part and the same percentage on an item worth thousands are different decisions.
What the program checks
- Overlaps — two rows covering the same price interval. Such a row will not save: it is unclear which one should win.
- Gaps — a hole between ranges. That is allowed, but the program warns you: prices falling into the hole reach the store with no markup at all.
- The coefficient must be greater than zero, “To” greater than “from”, and both values numbers.
When it applies
During the import and on every price update. Change a coefficient and it takes effect on the next run; nothing has to be recalculated by hand.
