Setup → Suppliers. There are two ways to connect one.
From the catalogue of ready-made classes
The catalogue is built from the files in custom/Supplier: a supplier with its own logic — a login, a non-standard feed, collecting from site pages — has a class, and we write it. Press “Connect” and the system creates the supplier and opens its settings.
A new class appears in the catalogue by itself as soon as the file is on the hosting. To remove such a supplier the class is deleted along with its file — the “Remove supplier” button only removes the ones created through the interface.
Your own, from a format template
The Add supplier button. A supplier with a ready marketplace export needs no class: pick the feed format and type a name. The feed link is then set in the supplier’s settings.
The fields
- Name — what the supplier is called on your side. Required for an enabled supplier.
- SKU prefix — it goes into the product SKU in the store and therefore cannot be empty. It shows whose product this is, and it is how the product is found during a price update. Do not change the prefix of a working supplier: the old products will stop being found.
- Priority — a whole number from zero. Sets the order in which suppliers are processed.
- Price update — whether this supplier takes part in updates.
- Active — a disabled supplier is not polled at all.
These fields can be edited right in the list; opening the card is not required. Three counters at the top show the total, how many are enabled and how many are not finished.
The supplier’s own settings
A class can have settings of its own — the feed link, a login and password for a restricted area, which sheet of an Excel workbook to read. They open in the supplier card. “Re-read settings” restores the values from the class and discards what you set by hand.
Removing
Removing a supplier also removes its category mappings and everything it put in the queue. The products stay in the store — the program does not touch them.
