Import supplier products into OpenCart

Import supplier products into OpenCart 2 or 3 from XML, YML or CSV feeds. You choose which categories to import, map them to your store and set your pricing rules. PIMPORT then imports products and updates prices and availability on the configured schedule. Send your store version and feed to check the connection before installation.

What it does in your store

Writes into the store itself

Not through an import file: the program writes products, categories, prices and stock straight into the store database, the same way the admin panel does.

Keeps prices current

On the schedule you set. The supplier changed a price — the store changed it too, without anyone opening the admin panel.

Hides what is gone

An item that disappeared from the supplier feed is hidden, not deleted: the card, its address and its statistics wait for it to come back.

Adds new items

Into the category you mapped. Categories the supplier added later wait for your confirmation.

A different engine version is not a dead end: the driver is adapted to it. Send your store version — we confirm what works before any payment.

What reaches your store

You choose the supplier categories, map them to your store and set your pricing rules. PIMPORT applies these settings when importing products and running subsequent updates.

Store SKU Built from the supplier prefix and a stable product identifier
Title and description Written in the language selected in the driver settings
Price The regular price; an active discount is kept as a separate special price
Availability In stock or not, plus the quantity from the connection settings
Category The store category you mapped the supplier category to
Attributes Filters or options, depending on the setting — not standalone variants with their own prices
Manufacturer From the attribute named in the settings, not from any field called “brand”
Photos The main image and additional ones, in a folder of their own
SEO fields Meta title, description and keywords; the SEO URL only when that setting is on
The table describes the OpenCart 3 driver; OpenCart 2 is checked separately. Field names follow a standard installation.

How an existing product is found

In the standard setup, the store SKU combines a supplier prefix with a stable product identifier. For example, DEMO- and TEXT-001 produce DEMO-TEXT-001. The OpenCart 3 driver looks up the existing product by SKU. Keep the identifier and prefix unchanged between runs. If they need to change, check the mapping to your existing catalogue first.

The quantity assigned to an available product comes from the connection settings; it is not the supplier’s exact stock count. Send a sample feed if you need per-product or per-variant quantity synchronisation.

What is needed

Access to hosting and database FTP or SSH and the store database. The program is installed next to the store, on your own hosting.
A supplier feed XML, YML, CSV or Excel. If there is no feed at all, data is collected from the supplier site — that costs more.
One cron job Set up as part of the installation. Ordinary shared hosting is enough.

Monitoring — optional

If you need changes in your sources watched, add monitoring. Its terms and cost are stated separately from the program and the one-time installation.

What is checked A nightly check of the source: whether the feed is reachable and whether its structure changed.
Which sources Suppliers connected to the program, including those whose data is collected from a website.
What is included Repairing the collection rules when the supplier site changes. Rebuilding for a new feed format is quoted separately.
Cost $3 a month per supplier, or $15 a month per store with all its suppliers.
Connecting through the wizard $15 one-time, the first month of monitoring included. This is another way to connect a source, not an addition to the regular connection.
After you switch it off The rules stay with you and the import does not stop.

Monitoring is not required for the program to work, and it does not automatically fix every change in a source structure.
